This is an amazing game. The setup, music, cutscene, enemy designs, levels, even the collectables (seashells, vhs tapes, light bulbs) are peak surreal exploration goodness. Turning levers that make huge scissors cut or panels turn with visible electricity as creepy monsters explode with the throwing of a freaking ship anchor is visually stunning. The black and white color palate with hints of red and blue is perfect amount of darkness to haunting light. All the elements come together for a beautiful horror trek across the abyss.  My son and I play lots of surreal games on our YouTube channel and this is up there with some of my favorites. That's not a plug for us. I'm just explaining where I'm coming from with my analysis and I hope the recommendation I'm about to give doesn't overshadow all my praise.

I made it to the section where you have to walk across the bottomless pit with nothing to stop you from falling as the board zigzags and have to get the bomb twice and run it to two sets of rocks blocking the narrow path to get the "tool". This is the first appearance of the "Tool". The controls, while clunky, were fine up until this point. Moving the mouse to readjust the view was slow but functional. But having to tightrope walk and being timed because you are carrying a bomb with these controls is just too much. I'm sure this section is beatable, but the precision needed is not going something many people have the patience for. Also, I'm curious how many sections are like this after this point? I recommend either remove the bomb timer or make it so you're running down an enclosed path.

The environmental puzzles have been enjoyable throughout the game while still making the player think, react and work for it. Watching the world change as you interact with it is one of the best parts of the experience. I think someone told you your game was too easy and they should be punched in the face. Hard. The draw of your game is the Silent Hill-like world you have created, and I think it's not getting the attention it should because people are getting stuck, which is a shame. You clearly put a lot of work into this. Keep up the good work. This is special. I hope this helps you along your path of creating.

Thank you so much for your comment and thank you so much for playing. It really helps me to feel motivated! Thank you for all your kind words!

Definetely that difficult section in the bridge level is going to be modified in a next version, hopefully by the end of summer (end of august or september). Difficulty peak wasnt properly calculated and indeed after that the game provides tons of joyful experiences.

Please use the password w7dp90 to skip that level. This takes you to an easy first final boss, The Tower Guardian. Use the levers to break the chains with giant scissors.

Other people have complaint about it too and i can see the problem.. Due to personal situation, i could not work on it again in the last months but im back and i hope i can fix it. But you are the first one to leave a comment and i am very excited about it, you made my day and give me motivation to go on working on my games.

i just discovered your channel and i love it cause you two guys are so lovely!

Note: im planning a better sequel of this game.

I just uploaded a new version ("Interstice (Windows - Version 1.0.6") changing the challenge in the bridge level. It was too much for such an early level! Reworks are still pending, but time is tight, and I’m already outlining a sequel that I’d like to develop over the next few months. Again, thank you so much for playing and for your awesome comment, it really made my day :)

We will definitely check that out! I'm looking forward to it as I've already made it to the Asbestos Forest. The difficulty progresses at a normal level when you take that one section out. I'm loving the boss fights and the levels are getting more beautifully surreal. Lil Biscuit and I will have to put it in a gameplay video in the near future.
